People in a Melbourne suburb are being called upon to help the police after a number of
credit cards have been stolen at a college.
Last month, a man was reported to have entered the Chisholm Technical and Further Education Institute in Dandenong, stealing a student's purse, detective senior constable Russell Church tells the Dandenong Star.
Upon making his escape from the college, it is thought that the criminal went on a spending spree using the credit cards stolen from the purse, spending a total of $600 in Dandenong and Cranbourne.
Those with any information about the credit card thefts are encouraged to get in touch with detective senior constable Dean Marchant.
However, Dandenong is not the only place to have fallen victim to credit card theft, as the Gympie Times recently revealed that a 27-year-old man has been arrested for his role in a gang that have targeted at least two businesses in the area using credit cards that are false or obtained through fraudulent means.
