Details of a number of
National Australia Bank (NAB)
credit card customers have been found dumped in an alleyway, reports the Daily Mercury.
The publication explains that the papers were found outside its own offices in Mackay after falling from an overfilled industrial bin.
Among the documents found was a letter of authorisation for $10,000 to be transferred from one customer's account.
This was attached to full details of the account and two authorised signatures to allow the transaction to go ahead.
Meanwhile, a "well-known Mackay doctor" was another
NAB credit card customer to have their personal details become street litter.
The medical professional's papers were covered in hand-written sticky notes, according to the Daily Mercury.
On these were written further private details such as transaction histories, home and mobile telephone numbers.
NAB allows online applications for many of its credit card products, allowing new customers to receive a decision in less than a minute.
