Wining and dining are the main priorities of Australians, a survey has found.
A
credit card company has found that when Aussies are spending it is on wining and dining.
A survey by Mastercard has revealed that 65 per cent of Australians pointed towards eating and entertainment as their main priorities.
People also value fashion and accessories (47 per cent) as an important spend when using credit cards, while consumer electronics (38 per cent) was also high on the list.
Travel (33 per cent) became an even bigger priority than wellness (31 per cent), while Mastercard noted that it expected a "robust" change in consumer spending this year.
This news comes after the Commonwealth Bank Business Sales Indicator declared that there was a 0.3 per cent reduction, in trend terms, in the transaction value of Aussie credit and debit cards throughout the month of June.
And the annual growth also dropped by 0.7 per cent to its slowest pace in 17 months.
