Some people in Guildford would like to have a credit card payment system installed, one publication has noted.
Residents in Guildford are keen to have a system implemented on which they can make
credit card and Eftpos payments.
The locals would like to have a service installed at the post office so that they do not have to travel to Campbells Creek or Castlemaine, the Bendigo Advertiser reports.
Family First senator Steve Fielding has noted that residents have been in touch concerned that some services may be cut off because of the time delay in manually processing the payments, which could be reduced by introducing a system for credit cards.
But he added: "Australia Post responded very quickly to make sure there would be no delays with the bill payments. I'm very pleased that it is reviewing the issue."
A spokesman for Australia Post said the company is working with the post office licensee to try to find a solution to the grievances.
This news comes after Bina Brown, writing for the Sydney Morning Herald, declared that a lot of people are relying on
Aussie credit because they are spending more than they earn.
