The Australian Financial Institution of the Year award for retail has gone to the Commonwealth Bank.
The Commonwealth Bank has been named the Australian Financial Institution of the Year for retail at a recent awards ceremony.
The organisation which offers the Commonwealth Platinum card missed out on the
Credit Card Issuer of the Year title, despite being named in the final.
It also took home Financial Services Executive of the Year and the Chief Information Officer of the Year for Ralph Norris and Michael Harte respectively, as well as the Best Career Development Programme.
Commonwealth Bank group executive for human resources and group services Barbara Chapman said the accolades were down to all the hard work that everyone in the company puts in.
She added: "We are determined to achieve our vision to be Australia's finest financial services organisation through excelling in customer service."
This news comes after the organisation announced people can now access its NetBank service which allows individuals to add new
bank accounts - via their Apple iPad.
And from July, all
Aussie credit card transactions will be posted in real time on the service.
