People have to be aware about the environment when racking up credit card debt, according to one publication.
It is not a good idea to pay off one
credit card with another one.
This is according to Senator Christine Milne of the Australian Greens, who believes that the recent budget has reduced the economical debt, however it has had implications on ecological debt by increasing it, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
The publication agrees with the politician but warns that consumers can only rack up
Aussie credit debt for so long.
But paying off normal credit cards by impacting on the environment is not the way to go about things, it claims.
It added: "So far we've managed to keep the economy separate from the environment, but we won't get away with that much longer."
And the Herald warns that there could not be an economy without a natural world.
These comments come after earlier this year Westpac customers who were affected by storms and flooding in Melbourne and parts of Victoria were offered some financial leeway by the bank in terms of using their credit card limit.
