A prepaid travel card on offer from the Commonwealth Bank has been praised at a Paris event.

At the OSCARDS awards ceremony, the firm's Commonwealth Bank Travel Money Card landed the Best International Prepaid Card prize
Launched earlier this year, the Australian banking product allows travellers to lock into the exchange rate of multiple currencies and load up the Mastercard with credit before heading abroad.
"The beauty of the Travel Money Card is its simplicity - it's a convenient, safe way to access money all over the world and has the flexibility to load and transfer between multiple currencies," Michael Cant, executive general manager of retail products for the Commonwealth Bank, states.
He adds that the firm's customers have used its Aussie credit products in more than 165 countries across the world.
Those searching for credit cards may also be interested to hear the firm reveal in October that those in possession of a MasterCard PayPass or Visa payWave will be able to pay for goods worth less than $100 using contactless technology at selected IGA and Red Rooster stores.
