Homeowners keen on making their home more energy-efficient will be able to apply for an interest-free loan from Westpac.
Westpac is to offer a specialist personal finance product to those looking to improve their home, it has been revealed.
Announcing its support for the government's Green Loans Program, homeowners wishing to boost their property's energy efficiency will be able to apply for an interest-free Green Loan from the bank, those looking to
compare accounts could be interested to hear.
"Many of our customers choose to bank and invest with Westpac because they share our views on sustainability," Peter Hanlon, group executive for retail and business banking, states.
He adds that the bank - which includes a range of
credit cards and
bank accounts in its range of financial products - is committed to developing "innovative new products and services".
Last week, the firm reported that
Westpac credit card customers affected by the closure of the KR Castlemaine facility in Toowoomba, Queensland will be able to request an emergency credit limit increase.
