Consumers in South Australia are taking a more positive approach to spending money, it has been revealed.
Those living in South Australia are increasingly looking to splash the cash on the high street, it has been suggested.
Research carried by Access Economics indicates that the state currently has a strong "willingness to spend", as expenditure is set to return to the peaks seen in 2007 by mid-2011.
And such confidence is translating into
credit card activity, as Paris Dean, sales assistant at Witchery, tells AdelaideNow that "people have been a little bit more willing to pull their credit card out".
She also claims that a number of promotions have helped to drive sales at the store, located in the Glenelg area of the city.
Those looking for an effective way of paying for goods may wish to seek out a card that comes with an
interest free period on purchases or charges a low
annual fee.
Such news comes as the Reserve Bank of Australia recently revealed that a total of $17.947 billion was spent on credit and charge cards over the course of August.
