People have been praised for their conscientious use of credit cards.
There is a responsible attitude among Australians with regards to the use of
credit cards, one travel expert claims.
Darren Wright, Australian general manager for air carrier AirAsia X, points out that that people are quite mature when using a credit card to make purchases over the internet.
Indeed, such
Aussie credit usage - he tells Web In Travel - is seeing the firm take steps to expand its credit services as it establishes partnerships with American Express and PayPal.
This is in contrast to mainland Asia, where the firm has been forced to provide cash payment facilities to customers.
Mr Wright also points out that the airline carries more than 29,000 passengers on its Australian routes each month.
People looking for an effective way to finance air travel may want to consider making use of a credit card that offers an
interest free period on purchases.
Meanwhile, a number of consumer groups - including Choice and the Consumer Credit Legal Centre - recently criticised the practice which allows airlines to impose multiple fees on those paying for flights in a single credit card transaction.
