A 23-year-old has been charged for a credit card skimming scam in Adelaide.
An Adelaide man has been arrested for his role in a
credit card scam operation, it has been revealed.
Police have charged the 23-year-old - an employee at a service station located in the western region of the South Australia city - for stealing customers' credit card details.
Now facing a number of theft offences, it is thought that the man planted a skimming device on the store's EFTPOS machine, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reports.
This technology was then used to obtain financial information and withdraw money from customers'
transaction accounts.
The accused is set to appear in court in November.
Such news could remind savers of the importance that they
compare accounts to ensure that there are no suspicious withdrawals have taken place.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that an Adelaide man had been charged for a worldwide online
bank account scam which saw a virus sent to 3,000 computers across the globe.
