ME Bank rewards savings account customer

Linda Stephens claimed a new car after her savings account won her a Members Equity Bank competition.

Members Equity (ME) Bank has given one of its savings account customers more than a competitive interest rate.

The financial services provider explains that a high rate of interest is usually the most a savings account customer can expect from their bank.

However, accountholder Linda Stephens received the added bonus of a Toyota Prius I-Tech.

She says: "After I was told I'd won a Toyota Prius I-Tech and hung up the phone, I called ME Bank back to make sure it was true!"

Head of corporate affairs at the bank Tony Beck adds that the prize was part of a promotion that encouraged customers to diversify their approach to savings accounts.

ME Bank's credit card customers can also benefit from a range of special offers when they take out a Members Equity MasterCard.

The card comes with MasterCard Exclusives bonuses, including early access to event tickets when using the Members Equity MasterCard to pay on the provider's applause service.
