IMB wins praise for product provision

IMB has received a prestigious finance industry prize, it has emerged.

The financial services firm - which offers the IMB Gold Rewards Mastercard credit card and IMB Silver Rewards Mastercard credit card as a part of its credit card product portfolio - has taken home the Building Society of the Year for 2009 prize at the recent Consumer Finances Awards held by CANSTAR CANNEX and Money magazine.

Robert Ryan, chief executive of IMB, states that although it has been awarded the prize "based on a range of criteria", he claims that "most importantly it reflects the quality and value of our products", which could include the various IMB credit cards it provides.

It is the third time that the building society has won this prize in the past five years.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that ANZ Bank - which offers the ANZ Balance credit card among other cards - had been named Socially Responsible Bank of the Year at the award ceremony.
