ANZ Bank products praised

A pair of Australian banking products on offer from ANZ Bank have seen the financial institution win two awards.

The ANZ SmartyPig Savings Account - an online saver account making use of Web 2.0 technology - and the ANZ Online Investment Account have each received an Innovation Excellence Award from CANSTAR CANNEX.

"We are delighted to have received recognition from the industry for two of our newest products because it means we are continuing to deliver more convenient banking for our customers," Brian Hartzer, chief executive officer Australia for ANZ, states.

The chief executive of the bank - which also offers the ANZ Low Rate Card and ANZ Balance credit card - adds that although the economy continues to experience difficulty, it is important that it continually looks to offer innovative products.

Earlier this week, ANZ Bank revealed it is to offer small businesses measures such as adjusting credit card borrowing limits and tailored financial advice to help them manage through the recession.
