Citibank credit cards come with up to 55 interest free days on purchases (where applicable), giving you the chance to pay for your purchases over a longer period of time to suit you. This effectively allows you to qualify for interest free credit. If you fail to make at least the minimum payment within the set period, the typical interest rate will be applied to your balance.

Citibank Bank Accounts

Citibank Bank Accounts come with a wide variety of features across its range, allowing you to choose the account that is most suitable for you based on your financial circumstances.

Whether you have a high transaction frequency therefore requiring unlimited free withdrawals, you need an account with no minimum opening balance, or you want a bank account that doesn't require an ongoing monthly balance, Citibank has a great everyday bank account solution to help you with your day-to-day finances.

All Citibank Bank Accounts come with monthly statements, check book access, internet and telephone banking facilities and access to your funds via ATM/EFTPOS, as well as ATM's abroad.

In October 2008, the Australian Federal Government announced it would guarantee all bank deposits of up to $1 million per customer held with any Australian-owned bank, building societiey or credit union.

As Citibank is an Australian subsidiary of a foreign-owned bank, all deposits held with Citibank Australia are also covered by the scheme.

Citibank Savings Accounts

All Citibank savings accounts held with the Australian division are covered up to $1 million per customer by the Government deposit guarantee scheme, set up to give savers confidence in knowing that their money is secure.

Deposits higher than this limit are given the option to take advantage of the top-up scheme offering unlimited protection for a fee of 0.7% for anything over $1 million.

Citibank Term Deposits

Citibank Term Deposits allow you to earn a high rate of interest on terms lasting between just eight days and two years. There are no opening or account keeping fees and Citibank bonds are also available in a variety of foreign currencies.

Citibank term deposits require a minimum opening balance of £10,000 and a maximum of $1 million. Interest is paid either monthly, quarterly, annually or at maturity.

With a Citibank term deposit, you are guaranteed returns on your investment, so you can relax and watch your funds grow with a regular predictable income.
