People will be able to withdraw cash for free from certain ATMs in the Queensland and northern New South Wales areas.
The Bank of Queensland (BOQ) and Customers ATM have announced people will be able to make free bank account withdrawals from more than 300 of their branded cash points in flood-hit areas.
Regions affected include Queensland and northern New South Wales, while 61 ATMs solely owned by the BOQ will also be free to withdraw money from bank accounts for all cardholders, including those with Aussie credit products.
The gesture started on January 18th and will last until February 12th and chief executive officer and managing director of the financial organisation David Libby said it is just one small way the company - which offers an array of credit cards, among many other products - is able to help.
He added: "We understand that a lot of people have been impacted by this disaster and we want to make it as easy as possible for people to access their cash."
