The financial organisation is offering a cash incentive for consumers to switch mortgage lenders.
ING Direct is offering $1,000 to those who switch their mortgage to the lender and open up a transaction account before June 2011.
Consumers have until the end of November to register their interest in the offer as chief executive of the company Don Koch believes changing from one type of financial organisation to another should be easy, calling the cash an incentive for people to begin the process.
He added: "If customers become more mobile, banks will be forced to offer better value and better service."
Those considering the change might like to note that ING's variable home loan interest rate on its products differs from 6.71 per cent to 7.34 per cent, depending on the specific offering.
People looking for a better home loan deal might simply like to try to negotiate with the organisation that currently supplies them, according to advice from News.com.au.
