A mobile banking accolade has been awarded to the Bank of Queensland.
The Bank of Queensland (BOQ) has scooped an Australian banking prize for its mobile service.
The system - which enables consumers to pay credit card bills and check their bank account, among many other functions - won the best mobile banking accolade for the second consecutive time at the annual Amber Awards.
Craig Broomfield, head of direct banking at the firm, said consumers are able to authorise transactions on company accounts, pay bills and transfer money across thanks to its service.
He added: "BOQ's Mobile Banking links customers to internet banking through their mobile phone so you can login with the same credentials and your existing payees and billers are already available."
More than 100 companies were up for an accolade at the prize giving.
But the BOQ is not the only financial firm to be recognised, as HSBC was recently named Home Lender of the Year at the 2010 AFR Smart Investor Blue Ribbon Awards.
