An interest rate increase next week is not likely, one publication has noted.
Australians are unlikely to see a rise in the interest rate next week, according to one publication.
The Australian Associated Press noted that there could be a reprieve in a possible increase due to the inflation level being raised slower than it was expected, which could please those on the market for home loans.
Figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics revealed that Australia's headline consumer price index went up by 0.6 per cent.
RBC Capital Market senior economist Su-Lin Ong said it was the lowest print for some time in terms of underlying inflation.
She added: "Obviously a softer print right across the board with both headline and, more importantly, the core measures coming in at 0.5 per cent."
This news comes after Bina Brown, writing for the Sydney Morning Herald, stated that a possible interest rate rise could affect individuals looking for a mortgage.
And she advised those who are at least four years away from buying a home to put money in a savings account.
