An agreement by two banks has led to customers being able to withdraw money at more ATMs without incurring charges.
Bendigo Bank and Suncorp Bank customers will have an array of fee-free ATMs to choose from after a recent deal.
The two financial institutions tied up a partnership that will see their 2.4 million customer base allowed to use around 2,000 of the organisations' machines without incurring bank account charges.
Mike Hirst, managing director of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank - which offers a range of
credit cards - said the organisations understand that customers value good service and want the companies to act in their best interests.
He added: "This is what sets us apart from our competitors and why more and more people are choosing to bank with us."
Suncorp Bank chief executive David Foster noted it would be much easier for their customers to access banking services.
But those withdrawing money from an ATM should be wary as Det Sen-Sgt Bill Nash, of the major fraud squad, recently revealed that $80 million has been taken from Australian bank accounts in the past 12 months, the Herald Sun reported.
